How to Import a Recipe from a Link

Paste a link, review the details, save it as your own.

Import takes a URL to a recipe elsewhere on the web, extracts its details, and hands you an editable form to review before saving it into your recipe library.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Paste the URL

Copy a recipe page's link and paste it into the URL field.

  2. 2

    Let it extract the recipe

The importer reads the page and fills in a form with the title, description, servings, prep time, cook time, cuisine, category, ingredients, steps and any tips it found.

  3. 3

    Review and edit every field

Every field in the result is editable — fix anything the extraction got wrong or incomplete before saving. Servings accepts 1–20.

  4. 4

    Save it

Save the reviewed recipe to your own recipe library, where it behaves like any other recipe you can search for and add to your Meal Plan.

Tips

  • Always check the ingredients and steps fields closely — automatic extraction from a web page can miss or mis-split a line, and this is the one chance to fix it before saving.
  • If a page fails to import (some sites block automated reading), the fastest workaround is copying the recipe details in by hand using the same review form.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit the recipe after importing it?

Yes — every field is editable in the review step before you save, so nothing is locked in from the source page.

Where does the imported recipe end up?

In your own recipe library, the same place recipes you've saved from elsewhere live — from there you can add it to your Meal Plan.
