MyWaterCalendar Privacy Policy

• There is no account. You do not sign up, and we do not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
• Your drink log never leaves your device. It is stored in a local database on your iPhone and is not uploaded to us or anyone else.
• We operate no server that receives your hydration data. There is nothing for us to read, sell or lose.
• There is no analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the app. We do not track your behaviour in the app.
• The only optional outbound request is an anonymous weather lookup, described in section 4.

MyWaterCalendar ("the app", "we", "us") is published by Mobtive. This policy explains what the iOS app does with information on your device. You can reach us at bugra@mobtive.com.

This policy covers the MyWaterCalendar mobile app only. The mycookingcalendar.com website has its own privacy policy.

All of the following is written to storage on your iPhone. None of it is transmitted to us.

Deleting the app deletes all of this. We cannot restore it for you, because we never had a copy.

MyWaterCalendar can raise your daily goal on hot days. If — and only if — you grant location permission, the app looks up today's forecast high temperature.

• Your coordinates are rounded to two decimal places (roughly a 1 km grid) before they are used. We do not send your precise position.
• Those rounded coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo, a weather API, to retrieve one number: the forecast high in °C.
• The request carries no identifier — no name, no device ID, no account, no cookie. Open-Meteo cannot connect the request to you.
• It happens at most once per calendar day, and the result is cached on your device.
• Your coordinates are never written to our storage and never sent to us.
• If you decline location permission, this feature simply stays off and the rest of the app works normally.

If you enable Health sync in Settings, the app asks for permission to read and write a single Health data type: Dietary Water.

• Write: each drink you log is saved to Health as a water sample, so other apps you trust can see it.
• Read: the app reads your daily water total from Health so intake logged elsewhere is reflected here.
• We request no other Health data — not steps, not weight, not workouts, not heart rate.
• Health data is processed on your device by Apple's framework. It is never transmitted to us, and it is never used for advertising.
• You can revoke this at any time in Settings ▸ Health ▸ Data Access & Devices.

Reminders are scheduled entirely on your device. The app has no push-notification capability at all: no push token is created, registered or transmitted, and we cannot send you a message. If you decline notification permission, reminders stay off and everything else keeps working.

The free version of the app shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob. Ads appear in one place — the bottom of the History tab — and on app open, at most once per day and never during your first three days.

• Premium subscribers see no ads at all.
• On first use the app shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline — or never answer — the app requests non-personalised ads only and your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) is not used.
• If you allow tracking, Google may use the IDFA to personalise ads and measure them.
• Your hydration data, body weight, Health data and location are never shared with advertisers. AdMob receives none of it.
• Google's handling of ad data is described in the Google Privacy & Terms.

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.

• We use RevenueCat to check whether your purchase is active. The app does not send RevenueCat your name, email or hydration data — it identifies your purchase under an anonymous, randomly generated ID.
• Apple provides the receipt; Apple's own privacy policy governs the payment itself.
• RevenueCat's practices are described in their privacy policy.

You can export your log as a CSV file at any time. The export uses the iOS share sheet, so you choose the destination — Files, Mail, another app. The file does not pass through us.

• We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
• We do not share your hydration, body or Health data with third parties.
• We do not use analytics, attribution, A/B testing or crash-reporting SDKs.
• We do not build advertising profiles from anything you enter in the app.
• We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Because your data stays on your device, you control it directly rather than by making a request to us:

• Access & portability: export your full log to CSV from within the app.
• Erasure: delete individual entries in the app, or delete the app to remove everything at once.
• Withdraw permission: revoke Health, location, notification or tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings.

If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal basis for the on-device processing described here is your consent, given through the iOS permission prompts, and our legitimate interest in providing the app's core function. Because we hold no personal data on our servers, a subject-access or deletion request to us would return nothing — but you are welcome to write to bugra@mobtive.com and we will confirm that in writing.

MyWaterCalendar is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The app is rated for general audiences and asks only for hydration-related information such as body weight in order to calculate a goal.

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes — for example, if we ever introduce optional cloud sync — will be announced in the app before they take effect, and any such feature will be opt-in.
